Like the other Silver Serpent?cables, this RGBHV video cable features SOLID 99.999% pure silver coated copper conductors (click here to see why SILVER is BETTER!), unparalleled impedance tolerance (75-ohm + or - 1.5-ohm) and terminated with precision 75-ohm RCAs (or 75-ohm BNCs). This cable is NEC CMR fire-rated.
Installations that use component video require special parameters in the cable design. Chief among them is TIMING. Since the signal is split into 5-channels (Red/Green/Blue/Horizontal Sync/Vertical Sync) and then reassembled, the signals must arrive at the same time at the destination. The more the timing variance, the less detail can be resolved in the resulting picture. The BetterCables?Silver Serpent?RGBHV design guarantees a maximum of 2.5 nanoseconds per 100 ft. This is ten times better than the broadcast maximum of 40 nanoseconds.
