The Extron RGB 198 is a universal, analog computer-video interface with audio specifically designed for under-table and rack-mountable installations. It features a female 15-pin HD input with audio, a buffered local monitor output, two unswitched AC outlets (available with either Edison or Europlug), and openings for up to four Mini Architectural Adapter Plates (MAAPs).
The RGB 198 offers a 15-130 kHz scanning rate, 300 MHz (-3 dB) RGB video bandwidth, and is compatible with a wide variety of analog video signals including VGA-QXGA, Mac, Sun? and SGI signals. ID bit termination is provided on pins 4 and 11 of the 15-pin HD input, ensuring that computers requiring local monitors to operate will do so in the event that one is not attached. The RGB 198 also converts computer-generated, unbalanced audio to balanced, line level audio.
There are two models available: the RGB 198 for regions with Edison (US style) power connectors and the RGB 198 EU for regions utilizing Europlug power connectors. Both models come in rugged metal enclosures and include under-surface mounting kits.
